Ideal tool for shallow bathymetry
Operating Princible
AquaticSonar's unique "SWATHE SURVEYOR" operates by illuminating wide swathes. Its sensor flash is narrow in the boat's travelling direction, but laterally the beam is very wide. The sensor unit has nine transducers of which two are transmitters and seven receivers. There is one transmitter and three receivers for each side as well as one central receiver. The three receivers are used to produce a phase difference data on both sides. AquaticSonar calculates bottom topography by using this interferometric data. The transducer unit is small in size and easy to operate also with small vessels.
